Lego honors NASA women in Science

snip

How cool is this:

Lego’s will honor some pretty influential
women at NASA with a “Women of NASA” Lego set. The set will include
Sally Ride the first American woman in space; Mae Jemison, the first
African-American woman in space; Nancy Grace Roman who helped develop
the Hubble telescope and Margaret Hamilton an engineer who wrote
software for vessels such as Apollo 11.

The set will have 231 pieces including a Lego Hubble telescope and the space shuttle Challenger

The set goes on sale November 1st 2017.

Why
is this cool: Who doesn’t love Lego’s, you can find a container of
these things at any daycare or house that has small children above the
age of 3.

The Women of NASA Lego set not only shows girls
that Lego’s are pretty cool but it ALSO allows girls to see some pretty
awesome women who made some of the things that we do today possible.
Hopefully this will continue the trend of getting young girls interested
in science
